Pakistan tour India in 2012 Schedule : 5 ODIs, 3 Tests

After long wait, FTP gives hope to the cricket fans to enjoy the live action between the two rivals. Finally, as per the ICC FTP programme, India and Pakistan are scheduled to play each other in the month of March-April, 2012. Lastly, India played with Pakistan in current year’s World Cup semi-final at Mohali. But, both rivals haven’t played a full series after the deadly 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Since gunmen attacked the Sri Lanka team bus in March 2009 in Lahore, every major international cricket side has denied from touring Pakistan. So, India is designated as the host of the series. According to the Future Tours Programme (FTP) of the ICC, India will host Pakistan for three Tests and five one-day internationals in March-April next year. Pakistan’s tour comes exactly after India comes back from its three-month tour to Australia.

The 1st Test match of the India vs Pakistan 2012 is scheduled to be played on March 2, 2012 and may be in day time. The number of matches and the venues are yet to be finalized after clearance from the governments of both countries. Discussion may be held at the ICC's annual conference in Hong Kong. As and when it approved by concern Authority, it will be updated online. In October, India will also play five ODIs and a Twenty20 against England and its schedule is properly declared.

Hope that India vs Pakistan 2012 match may be mark additional breakthrough in sporting relations between the two rival countries.
