The Champions League Twenty20, also called CLT20 is held in the month of September and October for a period of 2-3 weeks either in India or South Africa. CLT20 is mutually owned by the BCCI, Cricket Australia and Cricket South Africa. This annual international Twenty20 cricket competition is played among the top domestic teams from main cricketing nations. The first edition of the tournament was held in October 2009, in which New South Wales won against Trinidad and Tobago.
