The never ending cricket craze is on its top once again. This time England will visit India for a long tour including 4 Tests, 2 T20s and 5 One Day International matches. England went on the top of the Test world rankings as Andrew Strauss led the team to a 4-0 whitewash over the Indian team last year. However, the English team got a similar result in last winter on being thrashed 3-0 by Pakistan in the UAE before drawing a Test series in Sri Lanka. This series would be the first complete tour of England to India since November 2008. This time English players will get enough time for practice and rest. Cricket enthusiasts in both countries will be eagerly waiting for an exciting series of competition in all three forms of the game.
On October 25, the English team will leave the country for a 3-day training camp at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai. After four days the team will again move to India for a 3-day tour match from 3-5 November at Mumbai, CCI. Next, it will move to Ahmedabad for a 4-day tour match from 8th to 11th November. After 3 days gap, the first Test match will start from 15th November 2012 at Motera, Ahmedabad. The English team will leave India after the last ODI at Mohali. The team will travel back home for Christmas and returning for the ODIs on 3rd January, 2013. The last ODI will be played on 27th January 2013. All the five ODIs will be day night matches. Right now, there is no information available regarding the team squads however the details about selected players will be updated soon.
